Prepress and Printing

Newspaper Through the years wastage and re-work has been highly costly to the pre-press and printing industry. Mis-handling of difficult files, unpredictable color, trapping, font, and type re-flow, have all contributed to reduced profitability. AbsoluteProof enables accurate detection of all of the above-mentioned causes of waste while at the same time our best-in-class press-match proofs results in increased customer satisfaction.

Over the past ten years our industry-wide collaboration with all market sectors has revealed that they frequently face common 'unpredictable color' problems.

While we have applied ourselves to solving the most challenging color-management and proofing issues in the pre-press and printing sector for example, we have simultaneously solved the same reproduction issues for all other market sectors.

Absolute color accuracy
Color-match accuracy is the most important requirement for a digital proofing system. Absolute Proof has made many significant incremental improvements to where Absolute Proof stands today. Being the most accurate color-matching proofing system on the market, and the easiest to use, has always been the most important goal for the makers of absolute proof.

Live Support!
Absolute Live Support is to ensure customer satisfaction, and customer interaction with the software. We walk you through how to setup AbsoluteProof correctly from the beginning, to meet your needs, and how to use the AbsoluteProof Calibrator to calibrate your proofing printers. We take advantage of the build in screen sharing feature of the Apple operating system, or offer you an alternative ways to establish screen sharing support. Click here for more info

Linearization wizard
Precise controls are provided to ensure the best possible outcome. Iterative wizard for in house calibration. ICC profile and linearization library available for all standard Epson media and more.

ICC Profile library
Our extensive ICC profile library includes standard profiles for all Epson Media and more. ICC profiles are produced by our very experienced Color engineers and are of the highest standard achievable. ICC profiles for the common printing standards are also available such as GRACOL, SWOP, FORGRA, EUROSCALE, 3DAP and more.

Color Verification
Using an Eye One, or a similar color-measuring device. Certification of proofs can be achieved by printing a certification strip with every job; users can measure and certify color matches and proofs across multiple remote and local sites.

Unlimited Remote Proofing
Files are processed to a drop folder, compressed and sent via FTP to a remote site. After AbsoluteProof has been installed on the remote machine and printer-configured files are automatically printed. Acceptable color can be guaranteed straight after installation. Local calibration is recommended for the most color critical jobs.

Absolute color accuracy DotGain Editor
User has access to dotgain sliders to make compensations for changes in dot gain or to compensate for different paper stock.

SpotColor Editor
Choose a Pantone color from the color library that closest matches the SpotColor you want. Print and edit, until you get the desired SpotColor. You can edit colors in LAB or CMYK.

Pantone® Libraries Editor
The Pantone library is included in the Absolute Proof Color Library. Significant improvements have been made to ensure functionality and ease of use. Users can now store multiple libraries, and add colors to make personal libraries.

Halftone Dot Proof
Using the same halftone files from the imagesetter rip you can see the actual halftone on the proof. You can even adjust the sharpness of the halftone dot to simulate the best possible halftone dot match.

Softproofing to Monitor Profile
RGB Softproofing, or Screenproofing to a color-matched Tiff or PDF is easy to setup. The proof will display accurate results of trapping, overprinting, Pantone and even Halftone if required. Hexachrome, Opaltone, and any Multicolor Jobs can be proofed. For the most accurate results, you need to calibrate your monitor and your press, on a regular basis, using a color-measuring device like Eye-one.

Drag and Drop Support
drag and drop workflow is supported, job files can be dropped onto any setup in AP and files are then automatically proofed to that specific standard.

Archive
Previously printed jobs are archived as space allows. User can navigate through previously printed jobs and choose to reprint if required. Jobs are automatically deleted after 30 days or when 10 gig or less are available on the hard drive.

Calibrate multiple devices to the same standard
using “Match” file. Make multiple printers color-match to the same standard and same color capabilities of spot color reproduction.

Supports Re-Calibration
after initial calibration a “Match” file is produced, this file can be used to calibrate the device back to the same standard in case of a wear and tear of the device.

RGB or CMYK
File input and output RGB or CMYK workflow with ink optimization using ICC profiles. Automatic Hot folder processing and conversion between color-spaces.

Backup and restore of settings
The backup and restore feature in AbsoluteProof makes it easy for you to keep your data safe from user error, hardware failure, and other problems. All settings and calibrations can be restored from backup in matter of seconds taking AbsoluteProof back to a previously saved state.
